"*" Other Services

Scotwaste offer a full range of recycling services and detailed below are a few support services. If you have a specific service in mind but do not see it listed, please get in touch and we will try our utmost to be of assistance.

"*" Recycle your office waste

Scotwaste can offer Polyprop Recycling Bags, sold in batches of 50, which can be filled with office paper, vending cups, plastic bottles, cans or tins, etc, (one recyclabe waste type per bag).  Once you have 10+ bags ready for collection let us know and we will collect free of charge.

We are also able to supply Recycling Bins (manufactured from cardboard), which can be placed at strategic locations throughout your properties to hold the polyprop bags whilst being filled.

"*" Factory & Site Clearance

Moving premises? We'll clean up your site for you!

We operate this service by supplying the manpower, skips or roll on/off bins, along with the required specialist equipment for general clean up duties, including wheeled loaders and road sweepers when necessary. All contracts are priced individually and a free site visit can be organised to enable us to quote your requirements.

We can also deal with contaminated waste removal, using specialised containers. All relevant paperwork and documentation will be supplied to enable you to comply with your Duty of Care requirements. This service is ideal for Estate Agents, Property Managers or Liquidators.

"*" Electrical Disposal Service & Fluorescent Tube Weecycled Service

Weecycled Services Benefits

  • Demonstrates your commitment to the environment.

  • Provides a safe, efficient and low cost method recycling

  • Supplies a Duty of Care Controlled Waste Transfer Note

  • Will help industry conform to the new directive

The Waste Electrical Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE) came into force on 13th February 2003. The directive was transposed into national law on 13th August 2004; this will be followed by a number of deadlines and targets.

The directive is aimed at improving our environment and helps us to divert our waste streams away from landfill. Many companies are being proactive ahead of implementation of the directive, putting the environment first and seeing it as the way forward for us all.

In addition to the recycling services we already provide, we have devised a unique service concentrating on the recycling of low grade WEEE. This service can be used as a bring back recycling scheme or a service for compliance to the new directive. Examples of low grade items include: toasters, hair dryers, irons, telephones, drills, toys, calculators, radio sets, lamps, etc.

"*" Community Education

It has been a long standing ambition of Scotwaste to educate children, and indeed the wider community, in the steps that we are taking to help save the environment and maximise recycling. An integral part of our plans for the future is to build a Community Education Center on site and to develop our proposed recycling and waste to energy park in a way which will allow us to safely show organised groups around the facility.
